Founded in 2010, Hannabi is a creative design workshop focused on building environmentally-conscious furniture that is made to last. The studio was founded by designer Anikó Rácz with the aim of creating user-friendly lounge furniture that meets the challenges of today's world, instead of the sculptural sofas on the market. Our furniture is made with the goal of the final product being one tailored to each of our customers.
Our story
All of our sofas are based on our “Made To Measure” sofa system, which we have been developing for thirteen years. With this simplified Japanese approach, we have focused on the perfect shape for you, tested it for years, and then incorporated it into an intelligent, interactive online system that can respond sensitively to any desire. Thanks to our centimeter-precise design dimensions, the lounge furniture system is the intersection of built space and human interface, whether it's a single-person home, a lively community space, or an inspiring chill-out zone.
With this completely unique approach, our furniture is made to the exact centimeter of the needs of our customers, who can assemble and order their sofa online with the help of a simple program. Thanks to its designable dimensions, the Made To Measure Sofa System is the intersection of the points of connection between built space and people.

After several years of experience in interior design and design, I had the opportunity as a designer of a company that also manufactures and sells sofas to talk to people for 6 years about who, why and why a sofa is good, which I was able to put into practice right away. Meanwhile, I fell in love with its calm nature, its construction and its delicate hand-crafting processes. According to my experience, the size of the sofa, its role in the space and in the lives of its users, justifies that it is made in a completely unique size, without which it is very difficult to find the right furniture. The motivation behind the founding of the brand was that this wonderful, inclusive furniture that influences and unites the lives of families and communities should be more than a beautiful statue, and become a living part of demanding built spaces.

I graduated in Design and Art Theory in 2015, which, according to Anikó, is like thinking with the sensibility of an artist and the rationality of a merchant at the same time. Thus, my main task is to sensitize and translate the meetings of these areas not only for our clients, but also for the various fields of expertise that support our work - architects, the press, and event organizers. My job includes managing the brand and its communication, taking care of its interfaces and organizing its activities, so feel free to contact me if you need any textual or visual information.
8 years ago, shortly after graduating from MOME in furniture design, I joined Hannabi, first as an intern. I make models of sofas dreamed up by designers and customers, and my work also includes assisting with design tasks. If you have the sofa of your dreams, for which you request a detailed offer, I will create a photorealistic view of it so that you can see, down to the smallest detail, what we will produce for you.

From a jewelry-making family business, I joined the Hannabi team after the birth of my son in 2018, with a degree in foreign trade and teaching. Since then, I have had a daughter, and during the covid we forged into a family with the Hannabi team. I sweep the way in front of the sofas, from the quotation to the installation, my task is to ensure that every project is completed in the best possible quality, on time and that the necessary information reaches everyone on time.
